Police hunt East Boston man for double shooting at Maverick T station

Wanted for Maverick Square shooting

Transit Police report they have obtained a search warrant for the arrest of Rogelio Alvarado, 21, for last week's double shooting at the Maverick Blue Line station.

Alvarado faces charges of armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, as well as a number of firearms violations, police say.

Police caution that Alvarado should be considered armed and dangerous.

If you know where he is, contact Transit Police detectives at 617-222-1050 or send an anonymous text tip to 873873.

That's a lot of blue and a Dodgers hat. I'm far from an expert in such things, but I have a vague recollection that is a often indicative of a particular gang affiliation (or wannabe).

Previous reporting already indicated this was a conflict between MS-13 and 18th St. Victim had half-sleeve tattoos with giant '1' and '8', it wasn't subtle at all.

Do we have color codes for the gangs on the red, orange and green line. Please tell me to avoid the Purple Line gang.

The orange line gang is very tough, but they never make it on time.

Honestly, I am not trying to stir the pot here, but what do you mean by this and what are you hoping to communicate?

Given the many publicized police shootings in this country, maybe the headline should be edited from "Police hunt East Boston man..." to "Police hunt for East Boston man..."

Thank you!

Although fortunately, this is Boston, where police shoot as a last resort.
