Not surprised. And again, class, how is the bad stuff getting here in the first place?? Come on now, it's okay to speak the truth.

...occupation for the last decade plus of the world's top poppy-producing nation, which began just a few years after the widespread street distriibution and over-prescription of opiate derivative pain killers such as oxycontin lead one to believe a corrupt government, or corrupt individuals within said government, have been main-lining (pun intended) cheap pure heroin into our country, which is merely a marketplace for all goods now, after the once easily obtainable and cheap prescription versions turned all of suburbia into addicts. Mexico provides an easy port of entry with the side benefit of having an easy route into the USA.
Maybe I'm just a crazy, tin-hat wearing psycho, but it's been done before and it just seems like too much coincidence, no?

If you believe they will pay a DIME toward this, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

Trump can't make Mexico do a damn thing.. they will just laugh at us.

http://www.investors.com: "Last week, Mexico’s central bank reported that for the first time since statistics have been kept, the $24.8 billion in immigrant remittances received have surpassed Mexico’s $23.4 billion in oil earnings..."

So, slap a twenty percent fee on remittances to Mexico. Lemme see, that would be about...five (pinky in mouth) Billion dollars.

Hell of a fence.

Race is not the issue. It's America's infatuation with drugs. I love it when these yuppies or NIMBYs pull that card and then proceed to smoke their imported weed from Mexico or lines from Bolivia. You want change, honey, it starts with a mirror. And no, not the one with your bump on.

Haven't you been listening to Baker and the other republicans, now that its happening to more conservative white people heroin is to be referred to as an "opiate" and drug addicts of opiates shouldn't be treated like heroin or crack addicts have been. Unlike those evil people, opiate addicts are just like your all american neighbor.

Yawn..

In your world, does everything have to do with Baker?
I missed the part where his concern is with "more conservative white people".

Instead of putting a Band-Aid on the drug problem by removing the "addict stigma" , what's the proposal to fight the shit from getting here in the first place?

I'm not sure why the conversation instantly turns into a partisan fight or class-warfare. We're a state with one party controlling most of the state's politics, but several recent governors from the other party. And the Federal Gov't has swung back and forth in recent years. I don't think poverty or drugs have begun or ended with

I just want to say thanks to the officers of BPD for making the arrest. And nobody got shot! Well done, officers.
