Whatever happened to Eeka anyway? Haven't seen her on here in a couple years now. I genuinely miss her. I like lesbians. Like my friend who switched teams told me: "They're not threatened by your odd personality." Anyway, on to business:

If you can't do the tough job to tackle these issues, then you need to get someone who can."

Isn't that pleasant? Somebody who isn't even your boss, somebody who's never even owned or managed a bar, is giving you a lecture on how to do a job...because of THC gummies? Something that's going to be legal to have in a matter of weeks anyway? Why did the City of Cambridge give this woman a job? Why is government getting involved in this twice? What Cambridge citizen asked their elected official(s) to establish a division to lecture bar owners about two of their employees (both of whom won't be working there in two years) sharing gummies? Why is money that could stay in a Cantabrigian's pocket or could, God forbid, be used to fix a road or a bridge, being used for this purpose? Why does this one woman get to have makework twice in her life? I could use better employment right now. Can I have her job for half the money? Why do people keep voting Democrat (the party of choice over there on the wrong side of the Charles) when it's obvious that Democrats are greedy people and pathological con artists?

And fifty-seven children are occupying all her time these days. ;)

Not far from the truth, actually.

That, and I don't read the comments because they're just full of racism.

This is Cambridge not Boston. But Cambridge's licensing board does a fine job at being creepy also.

"She was freaking out and talking nonsense," said Officer Matthew Grassi of the Cambridge Police Department at the Nov. 5 meeting. "She might have been given what they refer to as drugged-up gummy bears."

(emph mine)

Is that what the kids call them these days? Sounds more like the results of a rave at Haribo.

These actually exist and they really are the Bhomb! http://bhombchellysjellys.com/products/jellys

I have seen them advertised on billboards in Oregon and Colorado!

They are pretty wonderful IF you know what you are eating and your tolerance for THC. My uncle (who has a med card) used them to wean himself off of oxy.

Guaranteed to make you aggressively play the upright piano ...

No doubt the genteel clientele of the Hong Kong will be simply horrified to know that its employees occasionally partake of these "drugged-up gummy bears." If Mr. Lee isn't careful, his customers will go and find their test tube shots elsewhere.

At Oberon ...

I'm sure some would like to see video of Ferrer's personal investigation!

I mean, come on Cambridge Police Department. Don't you have anything better to do than to pick on fine restaurants like the Hong Kong.

And another thing. As a resident of the Greater Cambridge area, I want to know why the stenographic records of the Cambridge Licensing Board aren't online.

Did I cover everything?

From the article:
"Offices had received a report of a distressed woman sitting in her car, listening to music with her feet up on the dashboard."

I've seen people having actual medical events ignored at bus stops because they appeared to be on drugs, but someone listening to music in her car? Alert the authorities.
