Not sure of the other schools, but Tufts does have a memorial service at the end of the academic year in which families/friends/next of kin of individuals who donated their bodies are invited. Doctors and medical students also attend.

The potter's field at Fairview is both beautiful and somber. The few graves with flowers, or a statue, or that are decorated with paint are almost sadder than the many that are marked only with a plot number.
