It's absolute shit here in Brighton and down through Kenmore. Side streets aren't really plowed and I saw a two cars slide onto Commonwealth Ave.

When I posted the photo, shortly before 11 a.m., there was not all that much snow out there. Obviously, things have changed since then.

...just because this is a late-season storm, don't let property owners get away with shirking their snow-removal responsibilities. The sidewalks are treacherous, and the it'll-melt-soon theory isn't supported by the forecasts I've seen. It's already icy where the wet snow has been walked on.

These snow-removal responsibility shirking property-owners should realize that, if someone walking by their property, be it commercial or residential, along that stretch of unshelled, unsalted sidewalk falls and breaks a leg, a hip, or whatever, the property owner could be involved in a major civil lawsuit, if the aggrieved and injured person decides to press charges and sue for negligence on the property owner's part.
