Somerville man charged with sexually attacking girl on a T bus

Transit Police report arresting Yunior Mayorga-Galvez, 21, on charges he went after a 13-year-old girl on a bus heading towards Kendall Square around 10 p.m. yesterday.

Police say officers found Mayorga-Galvez in the Red Line station there after the girl's mother - who was traveling with her - told them he'd just entered the station.

He was charged with indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, police say.

Innocent, etc.

A child gets sexually attacked on a bus and no one helps her? This is sick, where were the adults on the bus?

Sick

So disgraceful that the girl was sexually assaulted and no one, not even the mother stopped it. The indifference of people in this city disturbs me.

Were you on the bus?

We don't know when the attack occurred - it could have happened just as the bus was pulling into the station. We do know the mother pointed out his direction to the police.
