I was on the first train into Forest Hills after the switches were (hopefully) fixed. The driver did a good job keeping us in the loop, as much as she could of course (she wasn't told how long a hold would be, so she couldn't tell us that).
Entering Forest Hills, my question was- where are the engineers kept when there is no switch or signal problem? I mean, it's not like they are stationed at Forest Hills or Porter Square waiting for things to get fucked up.
I think we should be thankful that it happened at lunchtime as opposed to rush hour. Yes, it shouldn't happen at all, but I am being realistic.

But they just bought a bunch of brand new police cars for their transit cops. Certainly they have enough money to repair these switches.
