T considers fare hike as Red Line becomes slug like
By adamg on Mon, 01/04/2016 - 5:25pm
There's a train waiting for a pine box northbound on the Ashmont branch and some unspecified issue causing delays southbound on both branches. In other words, it's a Monday.

The T needs to get their act
The T needs to get their act together. As a Red Line rider coming from the South Shore, I don't want a repeat of last year. I don't think a fare increase is the solution. I'm already annoyed seeing so many people getting free rides or passing through "open" fare gates. I pay for a monthly link and wonder if I should when this happens.
Yeah, seriously. The other
Yeah, seriously. The other day at the entrance to Central I was at, one of the two gates was accepting Charlie Tickets only and the other was just left open, so, no option to even pay. How about figuring out basic fare capture before raising fares? And don't even get me started on the above-ground Green Line stations where the majority of riders never even pass by a farebox.
8°F
Coldest day of the year so far, today, at 8°F currently. Let's see how hard the T falls on its face.
