Generally they're on carriers because they're badly damaged, not the other way around.

Q. How do you Storrow a car?
A. Put it on a car carrier first.

Put the box into the car
Put the car onto a truck ... 'til you get stuck

Where was this? Where 28 crosses under the Green Line just south of Lechmere, the Gilmore Bridge, or Museum Way? None of them has a posted height restriction as far as I know.

It was right here: https://goo.gl/maps/8BMMECEHX442

And you are correct, there is no posted clearance information.

The vehicle is over height.

I didn't read the description, and only saw the SUV getting loaded onto the truck, presumably to be towed away. Was thinking "how the hell could a Jeep not clear that"? Makes much more sense that it was on a car carrier.

I never said the bridge was low clearance, or that the vehicle was over height. I just said for information's sake that there was no posted clearance information.
