Train gives up ghost at Alewife; for riders, it's their morning strife

With the higher-fare clock counting down to Friday, Red Line riders are experiencing all sorts of delays thanks to a deceased train at Alewife this morning.

I was stuck at Broadway northbound, . The system announcement said there was moderate delays southbound. The driver announced there was "traffic problems" ahead, then changed his announcement to "disabled train". Then the system announcement said there was severe delays northbound and southbound. So of course in a minute we were on our way.

It wasn't that bad. It lasted less than 10 minutes. The worst thing was the woman next to me who let out a loud sigh and shook her head every time there was an announcement.

And no one even mentioned that when the train arrived at Broadway, the doors opened when the train was still rolling, and people were stepping off a rolling train.

As always, I blame Charle Faker for everything.

Took about 15 minutes for the train to pull into Porter, then took about three trains to come by before there was room. For whatever reason personally I wasn't too bothered by it but a number of people chose to leave and seek other means.

Too crowded @ Porter to go Inbound Took the train sitting downstairs and got off @ Davis to get on the inbound train. Smart idea. Couldn't be bothered with that crowd of sheep
