Two dead after car slams into tree, bursts into flames in Milton

State Police report that around 3:30 a.m., a car with three occupants crashed into a tree on the side of Brush Hill Road, which connects with Truman Parkway in Hyde Park.

The car caught fire. The driver, a 24-year-old woman from Dorchester, and the front-seat passenger, a 23-year-old man from Mattapan, were pronounced dead at the scene, State Police say. A 17-year-old from Dorchester in a rear seat was taken to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries, State Police say, adding the crash remains under investigation.

Oh, man. I think I know exactly what tree this was. Near the Paul's Bridge end of Brush Hill Rd, there's a huge, beautiful old tree right on the side of the road. I think the lane even narrows for it.
