Unannounced Louis CK show sells out quickly

In line for Louis CK tickets at the Paradise

Shortly after 10 a.m.., Louis CK sent e-mail to his fans that he'd be doing a show tonight at the Paradise. Matt Cadwallader reported at 10:41 a.m. from outside the Paradise that "people are literally running down Comm. Ave." to try to get tickets. By 11:37 a.m., they were already sold out, Pia Agliati reported.

Just wasted an hour of my day for something I should've known I had no shot at. I get the box office-only idea and applaud cutting out resellers, but it kind of screws anyone who doesn't live or work in or near Allston.

I meant "unannounced" as in "not preceded by months of posted tour dates, ads, etc., just some e-mail he sent out this morning." Better phrase?

My wife and I walked by around 12:45, and there were a few dozen hopefuls lined up in the chance that a second show would be announced. I guess LCK wasn't up for it.
