Car hits hydrant on Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester

Scott Cluett reports a motorist managed to take out a hydrant on Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester around 1:15 p.m. The Dorchester Reporter reports the driver suffered a "medical emergency" before hitting the hydrant.

The driver had a medical emergency- TV interviews with person who pulled him out of car said he was slipping in and out of consciousness- let's not make fun of someone who had a medical issue and had an accident

I also hope that said driver stays off the road until their medical issues are under control - for their sake and the sake of anybody they might kill.

I hope the driver is ok.

Me too. I lost a friend recently to a medical emergency while driving. His son was in the car with him and was very badly injured. He's been in ICU for weeks. So I'm not really seeing the humor in some of these comments.
