Clerk attacked in Quincy gas-station robbery

Quincy Police report they are looking for two men for the armed robbery of a Franklin Street gas station last night.

Police say a clerk at Prestige Gas, 9 Franklin St., was at the station entrance when:

A black male who was masked grabbed him and forced him, at gunpoint, to the floor in the rear of the store. The cashier stated to officers that the suspect held a black pistol to his head and held him on the ground. The cashier then stated there was another masked black male suspect who was watching the front store door. The armed suspect then demanded the cashier to turn over the store keys. The suspects then observed customers approaching the front door and both fled the store on foot to an awaiting vehicle described as a dark color SUV with a partial MA plate 42K. The vehicle and the suspects then fled on Franklin St. towards School St.

Police say the robbery is similar to one Jan. 31 at Prime Gas on Hancock Street.
