We don't want to worry your aunt, but there's a dead train at Ashmont

And said deceased train is causing "moderate" delays northbound, the T reports.

That rhyme only works around here. It wouldn't work done south.

I admit, I had to think like a Bostonian for that one, because, well, of the three people in our household, only one pronounces it that way (the only one who's a Boston native, natch).

I had refrained from commenting earlier, since I always appreciate how hard it must be to continually come up with T rhymes and I didn't want to diss yours, but since the subject has been broached, it actually doesn't work really well around here, either.

"Aunt", if not pronounced "ant", is usually pronounced with an "ah" sound. Unless you pronounce "Ashmont" rather oddly, I'd say it doesn't work.

Still love your T rhymes, Adam. Sorry for the didacticism. And, of course, if your family member pronounces it "Ont", carry on and forget I said anything :-)
