Goran Visnjic Returns as Flynn

In a surprise turn of events, just a few days after canceling the time-travel drama “Timeless”, NBC changed its decision and ordered a ten-episode second season. It seems like the “Timeless” team have changed history yet again! After the show’s initial cancellation, the series creators, Ryan and Kripke tweeted that the show is considering other possibilities before making a decision. The loyal fanbase also shared their disapproval on social media and even started a #SaveTimeless campaign. Apparently, NBC has listened to the online fan reactions because in a couple of days it was confirmed that the series will be coming back for a second season. Upon its return, it's possible that the series will be more “family-friendly” which will hopefully ensure that the series will remain on the air.

The thrilling action-adventure series started with mysterious criminal Garcia Flynn, played by Goran Visnjic, stealing a secret state-of-the-art time machine. His aim is to destroy America as we all know it by changing the past. Luckily there is an unexpected trio made of a scientist, soldier, and historian handpicked to stop him from his intentions. Using a prototype of the machine, the team travels back in time to critical events to undo the damage made by Flynn.

The show, which chronicles the adventures of a lifetime of the unlikely team, reached an average of 8 million total viewers and a 2.1 in the 18-49 demographic but dropped significantly for its finale. Reportedly, the series was initially canceled because of its dismal viewership. However, there is no concrete evident for that. Other sources claim that the series has a solid viewership and that the main reason for the cancellation had been financial.

Each episode takes place in a different time period, and as we know they revisit some of America’s most important historical event. Regardless whether it’s the Hindenburg explosion in 1937, the assassination of Abraham Lincoln in 1865, or any event from the 2nd World War, each episode calls for an entirely new wardrobe. This is no small issue on a TV budget. In addition to that, they need an expert crew for every time period.
