House goes up in flames in Chelsea

Chelsea firefighters are on Shurtleff Street for what is now a three-alarm fire.
Cybah, who lives next door, reports everybody seems to have gotten out OK.

Here's hoping that the Cybah Ranch doesn't go up in flames, too.
Good that everyone made it out okay - at least the firefighters have a cooler day today to deal with it.

Yeah my house is OK, except it smells like campfire inside since our windows were open and some upset pets (we all have pets). But luckily the winds were blowing away from my place and the building on the other side was brick. I couldn't get into my house until around 730 so sad to say most of my fresh groceries didn't make it.. (sat in the heat too long).
But thankfully, everyone got out OK. Poor kids didn't even have time to put on their shoes.
I feel so sorry for the family. Its multi-family home that is one large family on all floors. They pretty much have lost everything on two of the floors. Top floor is a goner, and 2nd floor probably has tons of water damage.
I talked to the owner, they will rebuild but I just feel bad. They are a nice family next door, and they are the reason why our house is still standing when we had a fire a few years ago (they called 911). He told me what they thought of what started their fire.. I can't say until its official, but I will say it probably wasn't arson.
It was an active scene until around 830. State investigators were here (routine), and the FDs and board up folks are cleaning up They ended up getting mutual aid from Malden, Medford, Revere, Winthrop, and Everett. It was hot for them, but the FD Canteen came up and was passing out water and stuff to cool off firemen.
Here's a pic from when I was walking up to my house after getting the OK to go in... its a total goner. I feel so bad for them, they are such a nice family to have a bad thing happen to.
