Hours after Mayor Martin J. Walsh extolled Boston’s progress in his annual State of the City address Tuesday, Twitter was abuzz with people upset with his performance over the last three years.
Using the hashtag #MartyLostMeWhen, more than 100 Twitter users ticked off their grievances with the mayor — from his handling of student protest over his proposed schools budget last year, to his personnel hires and support for Boston’s Olympic bid.
The tweets started Tuesday and increased until Wednesday morning, reaching nearly 400,000 Twitter users. There were 500 posts by around 2 p.m. Wednesday written by 110 users, according to a Globe analysis of Twitter stats.
