Roxbury murder suspect was acquitted for another murder on the same block

UPDATE: Williams ordered held withut bail, according to the Suffolk County DA's office, which adds a second suspect in the murder remains at large.

For Charles Williams, arrested yesterday for the murder of Dennis Parham in Roxbury, a trial will be old hat, because it will be his third.

Williams, 38, had two trials for the July 4, 2009 shooting death of David Brimley. His first trial ended with a hung jury; he was acquitted at his second trial.

Brimley was found shot to death at 617 Shawmut Ave. Parham was fatally shot in the head on July 15 at Shawmut Avenue and Kendall Street, a half block away.

Williams is scheduled for arraignment today in Boston Municipal Court for Parham's murder. A Suffolk County grand jury was already hearing the murder case against him before indictment when he was arrested in Brighton for illegal gun possession, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Innocent, etc.
