Smoker sparked Roslindale house fire, BFD says

The Boston Fire Department reports investigators have concluded a Saturday fire that did an estimated $350,000 in damage to a house on Newburg Street at Belgrade Avenue in Roslindale was caused by "improper disposal of smoking material" on the first-floor porch. Before being knocked down, the fire spread to the second floor and attic.
