Four arrested for daytime break-in at East Boston triple decker

Boston Police report arresting four people they say broke into a triple decker at 312 Chelsea St. in East Boston around 10 a.m. on Thursday.

On arrival, officers observed the front door of the building to be open, providing access to a staircase leading to the second and third floor. The officers proceeded up the stairs where they encountered and stopped a suspect, later identified as Marlon Lopez-Cabrera, 29, of Chelsea. Simultaneously, another officer located a second suspect, Miguel Carrasquillo, 20, of Boston, attempting to flee down a rear stair case of the building. Additional responding units located and detained two more suspects, Brian Cornejo, 21, of Lynn, and 17-year-old female from East Boston, inside a vacant apartment on the second floor. Officers placed all four suspects in custody without incident after determining that they were not residents of the building nor did they know who owned the vacant apartment.

The three adults were charged with breaking and entering; the teen, too young to be named, will be arraigned in Chelsea juvenile court on a count of being delinquent for breaking and entering, police say.

Innocent, etc.
