MS-13 member gets 27 years for killing innocent bystander while trying to gun down rival

Cuervo

A federal judge today sentenced Hector "Cuervo" Ramires, 24, for firing a shot that ended the life of a Chelsea woman standing at her window.

Katerin Gomez, 35, died as her three young children watched after she was shot on Oct. 18, 2014.

In addition to 27 years in federal prison - part of a plea deal - Ramires, a Honduran national, will be subject to deportation at the end of his sentence, the US Attorney's office reports.

Ramires also accepted responsibility for his role in a March 28, 2014, attempted murder of a rival gang member in Chelsea, and an April 9, 2014, armed robbery in Chelsea.

Ramires was a member of MS-13's Enfermos Criminales Salvatrucha "clique." He was one of 61 people arrested in 2016 in raids by federal and local authorities.

Bye bye Hector - the streets of Boston/Chelsea are much better off without you.

I hope the fucker rots in jail and gets his ass kicked every fucking day.

I should state that my tone is because *I* was woken up that night because it happened right behind my house on shawmut.

The woman was just looking out her window to see why this guy and someone else were arguing, a gun was pulled, a missfire, and three little kids had to watch their momma die. Fuck them.

This is the second time this week we see a light sentence for a heinous crime.

He now faces 27 years in prison (no parole) with the reputation of killing the mother of 3 kids. Except for prisoners who are 100% devoid of any good in them he will face people who do not cotton to a man who makes 3 kids grow up without a mother.

In 27 years Honduras might be a natural canal connecting the Caribbean and the Pacific.

He will be in prison with a bunch of other scumbags who don't care what he did.
27 years is a long time but not long enough.

Even in prison there are hierarchies and lines people do not cross. There also are functioning gangs in prison which are connected to gangs outside of prisons.

If he winds up in a functioning gang then he might be safe. If not he might find prison time very painful.

That there are functioning gangs which are actively involved (obviously indirectly) with gang activity is a problem in the prison system that gets little attention. I mention that here to give it some attention.

But the main issue of prison life still being human is inevitable. We create hierarchies; we want to know who is in and who is out of the group. That is human nature. So even in prisons human nature forces us into positions of power. And even in prisons there are things that a person does not do.

Wonder why Tsarnaev in so far away? This is solely speculation but I would not be surprised if part of the reason is that he might be killed in prison by other prisoners for having killed a child. That would remove the "satisfaction" of his dying by government execution.

I doubt he's alone in there. But you're right, rapists and woman beaters/killers usually aren't treated to well. And good for that!

For everyone that hates them as much as I do, in MA jails they're an automatic "move on,on sight" meaning when a ms shows up on the unit its not long before they're checked off or moved on(beat up/jumped) usually both. Not sure how strong they are in state or fed prison but hopefully its the same. They're not tough, they target teenagers and females but without that machete they're soft as cotton n I'm speaking from experience (albeit unfortunately). Fuck em all
