WRKO and WXTK (right wing radio for your racist uncle who inherited the 800 SF cottage 12 streets back from the beach and hard up against the abandoned strip mall in Yarmouth) must be glad that all of their radio spots are all bought up until November.

If you want to be entertained this upcoming election season, bring yourself to the corner of Route 18 and Route 123 in Whitman during afternoon rush hour. The Trump / Diehl people who can't count to 21 or 22 unless they are naked (depending on their gender) will be out on the corner holding signs yelling at traffic about the danger of a single mother who was raised in a town a lot like Whitman isn't one of them, but somehow Trump is and that she is a threat to them. Go figure.

Let's hope that we get Kevin dressed up like a native American or some other such stupidifying rot. Maybe he'll be tying someone to the railroad tracks whilst being canvassed by an evil Snidely Whiplash Warren supporter urinating on a bible?

Karl Rove seems incapable of understanding how to craft an ad for Massachusetts that doesn't turn out hilariously bizarre, paranoid, overwrought and out of touch.

Step 2: find a palatable candidate with name recognition who isn't a neo nazi, drooling whack job fool, litigious moron, or incompetent.

They can sign up a straw man - the point of this is to spend an enormous amount of money making outrageous claims to smear shit all over everything like one of those fertilizer sprinkler systems.

Funny how so many right wingers love to talk about what an awful senator Warren is - but they can't seem to explain why the right wing hate machine wants to spend so much money to attack her, won't run themselves and can't seem to find a credible republican to get near this race with a ten foot pole.

National level smear campaign attached to a unknown mouthbreather "candidate" says otherwise.

This is about 2020, not 2018. don't know who the R will be (hopefully not Donny), but sounds like they want an early chance to knock her down before she stands up to run.

Thing is, about the only person she can probably beat is Donny - she's about as unpalatable to the center as he is.

Being palatable to the center is not what you need to win anymore.

If anything, the GOP is afraid that many who voted for anyone but Clinton will wise up (or feel enough of the heat from their slash and burn job on the middle and lower class) and go for a progressive with a strong record of advocacy.

It's the fringes that get you the nomination. It's the center in a very narrow range of half a dozen states that gets you elected.

Actually, the republicans probly want warren. She's damaged goods. They just want to ding her up a little more.

Trump was "palatable to the center"?

Explain that one Einstein.

And as a moderate - I didn't vote for him - or her. But I voted.

No - the Fringe gave Donny the nomination.

The "center" very narrowly swung the vote in about 5 states that squeaked him over the line.

That - plus poor minority turnout relative to the Obama years made the difference.

And perhaps not so much that he was palatable - just that Hillary was so much less so for a lot of people.

Another former employee of the pimp Mindich who still uses the journalistic cred he thinks being a former employee of a human trafficking operation that occasionally did journalism "brings", Bernstein totally glosses over the virulent racism that pervades the Diehl campaign.

From using scumbags like Dean Cavaretta and the disgusting Holly Robichaud as campaign consultants to his unabashed acceptance and willing promotion of the endorsement of local racists like Howie Carr and Curt Schilling and his racist characterizations of Warren in campaign ads, Diehl should have been jumped on hard with both feet for these associations, but Bernstein does work for the racist Boston Magazine after all, and there's a lot of Warren haters in their target demo.

which increases every week. When they keel over and die.

Angry and old is a great way to grow the GOP.

That’s why Trump lost the state by thirty points and Diehl can only find small groups of obvious Howie Carr listeners to show up.

can the media please find one picture to use.... just once... where she isn't making that stupid face? I get it, giant stupid collar, stupid "I'm angry at something" face is her trademark now, but cmon!!! I don't even dislike her. she stands for many great causes, but those pics are awful.

I've found that what you describe is what gets printed by the Herald, not how she looks during a real life conversation.

Perhaps go to a town hall and ask an actual question?

Elizabeth Warren does a LOT of town halls, and they're excellent. It shouldn't be that hard to get to one. She's not only a great speaker, she's a great listener too.

Bernstein's far-left slant turns a potentially interesting topic into another unintended comedy routine. As for "mania" over Sen. Warren's claim of Cherokee heritage based on "mammy and pappy's" folklore, one needn't be a Republican or even conservative to acknowledge her claims are dubious and a serious character flaw.

If we had an enterprising reporter left in Boston, why not have a Caucasian check off "black" when signing up for the BPD or BFD exam? Boston is constantly trying to recruit blacks to join the police and fire, often using special Civil Service lists comprised only of those who checked off black. As the hiring process progresses, see what the city does when the race is questioned and the only proof offered is "mammy and pappy told me I was black." I have no idea how Warren cheerleader Marty Walsh, the appointing authority, would decide but it would be riveting news. Perhaps James O'Keefe of Project Veritas or even turtleboy would do it if our fawning media won't.

Hard to believe it was a generation ago that BFD fired two Caucasian brothers who were quietly working as "black" firefighters until they decided to up the ante and take an exam for lieutenant, checking off black again. 30+ years later, it's now "mania" to question fake heritage. A sad step backward.

Warren's prospects are good, since this trivia is the worst thing you guys can come up with about her. Meanwhile, the guy you got into the White House is a human cesspool in the character department.

Please! Anybody but her for anything. Lock and load folks. I got big shoulders.
