Police released the hound - and that's when the Back Bay break-in suspect gave himself up

Boston Police report arresting a man they say was breaking into buildings on the 400 block of Boylston St. (the block where the Tannery used to be) Sunday morning.
Police say officers arrived around 9:55 a.m., in time to see Sam Hess, 28, entering a second-floor window at 400 Boylston St. via a fire escape.
At this time, officers requested the assistance of a BPD K-9 handler and his dog in order to conduct a search of the building for the suspect. On arrival, the officer and his trusty K-9 partner, Vader, entered the building and, in due time, were able to locate the suspect hiding inside a crawl space under a 1st floor stairwell. When the suspect refused to surrender himself and exit the building, Vader was sent in to influence him to do otherwise. In short time, the suspect was taken into custody.
Hess was charged with breaking and entering and resisting arrest.

How dumb do you have to be to try breaking into buildings along Boylston St on Marathon weekend? The whole area is full of police and extra security!
