My husband converteted some of our bread hoard into French Toast.

Simple straight up classic process, but that honeycrisp oat bread that our youngest picked out at Wegman's was certainly spectacular.

My local star market (Prudential) had plenty of milk, bread, and eggs left.

Pure speculation on my part, but I'm guessing the risk of power outages have led many to buy non perishables and food that doesn't need cooking.

Backing my theory, there were empty shelves of soup and tune cans and condensed milk containers...

Glad you got in a delicious meal while the power is still up.

We're off the French toast charts!!!

But I do fear drawing down our supplies of bread, eggs, and milk. Hopefully we can make it to Saturday. I do fear cannibalism if supplies run low.

No photos, but then again you all know what French Toast looks like.
