241st Coast Artillery, Fort Andrews on Peddocks Island

My father served as a heavy artillery gunner for the US Army's 241st Coast Artillery protecting and defending Boston Harbor during this time. He was stationed at Fort Andrews on Peddocks Island in Boston Harbor.

Amazing Film

Nice to know the backup plan was Boyscouts on bicycles. Mr. Chase has a Boston accent worthy of study but it's worth it just for his dramatic sit to stand performance.

This is what they think the state looks like:

Anyone recognize the locations?

The fire station looks familiar. My grandfather would have been working in the Cambridge FD at that time but I think I've ruled out Cambridge fire stations. Also, very surprised to see color film in early part of war.
