Although Gov. Baker gave the go-ahead for movie theaters to begin re-opening this week (next week in Boston and Somerville), operators of the Somerville Theatre and the Capitol Theatre in Arlington say they will remain closed. Read more.

That means no Paul Revere's ride, no battle re-enactments, no pancake breakfasts, no parades, no fifes and drums, no vigils, no Dawn Salute at the rude bridge in Concord -- none of it.

Boston Restaurant Talk reports that, starting at noon today, restaurants that are still open and offering takeout can no longer allow patrons inside to pick up food. Also, the town urges people to either pay online or use a credit card - keep that dirty cash to yourself.

The Somerville and Capitol Theatres announced tonight they're closing until at least April 3 due to Covid-19 concerns. Read more.

Everett announced a 30-day shutdown for its schools, while Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Burlington, Lexington and Winchester said they are closing their schools for at least two weeks. Read more.

Town officials in Arlington, which has had at least one coronavirus case, say that effective immediately, they're suspending all walk-in programs at the town senior center, all programs and events at the library and Recreation Department programs until further notice over Covid-19 concerns. All library meeting rooms are now shut to the public.

However, the town will continue to run its senior transportation program, so that eligible residents can get to appointments around town

Arlington town officials say the child of a Biogen employee who tested positive for Covid-19 after that meeting at the Marriott Long Wharf has now also tested positive for the virus. Read more.

Arlington officials tonight announced a resident has tested positive for Covid-19 and that the town will close the Stratton Elementary School, because the resident's child, a student there, is showing cold-like symptoms that could be caused by the virus. Read more.

Arlington Police report a man was seriously injured on Massachusetts Avenue near Varnum Street when an 80-year-old driver from Cambridge hit him and then kept going towards Cambridge, around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday. Read more.
