La Bibliotequetress stuck around just long enough to make sure the ducks didn't eat that guy by the bench yesterday.

GM2059 shows us a near-Storrowing around noon at a Storrow Drive entrance. Guess there's no question this time whether or not there's a warning sign in place. The State Police cruiser on the left is blocking the road so the driver can back up, of course.
UPDATE, 7:10 p.m.: The bomb squad determined the package was not suspicious but was somebody's misplaced property.
Not only is the store now shut, but Boylston Street in front of the store is closed to pedestrians and motor vehicles.
Roving UHub photographer Ryan Smith happened upon this freshly Storrowed truck at Silber Way sometime after 11 a.m. today.
JB Parrett watched the post-storm sunset tonight.
Earlier:
Blue clouds, golden sunset.
Around 3:45 a.m. at 285 Beacon St., Stanley Staco reports. Firefighters made short work of the mulch.
Jared Wickerham watched the sun set over the water in Chelsea this evening (also see his photo of the Chelsea Yacht Club).
JB Parrett, meanwhile, was also watching the sun go down, but in Boston, from Community Boating on the Esplanade:
Julio Salado watched the sun come up over Kendall Square this morning:
Unmerited gift to practice Tai Chi Chuan on the Charles River docks to the rhythm of the universe.
Pro Palestinians and pro Israelis, their ranks for the most part separated by police, spent the early evening screaming at each other as they demanded justice from the other side.
The co-protests started on the steps of the BPL in Copley Square, moved over to Trinity Church, then went up Boylston, Charles and Beacon streets to the steps of the State House and then down onto the Common. There were far more people supporting the Palestinians than Israel.

Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald reports:
Called to car parked in front of 88 Beacon St. at 12:38pm with an unattended dog inside. Was called in by a Traffic Enforcement Officer. We unlocked the car using tools we carry for such things. No damage to the out of state car. Dog did not appear to be in distress. Unknown how long unattended. Animal Rescue took procession of dog.
Sonja Alves reports:
Long, long shot but my son’s lovey is lost somewhere in Back Bay. Old tan bear with 2011 on the foot.
The bear also has a red bow on.

A concerned citizen complains about the lack of action outside the BPL in Copley Square:
Trio of would-be hip-hoppers have blocked off a large part of sidewalk in front of BPL and are not even dancing. Most boring show ever.
Microsoft, which apparently has more money than it knows what to do with, hired contractors to spend a couple days putting in a lawn on the Boylston Street side of the Pru so that its own workers can spend today giving harried city dwellers the chance to experience suburban life made even better with Microsoft products, just in case they were unaware the Pru has a larger, more permanent swath of grass on the Huntington Avenue side.
Mister Jon reports the Prudential Center mall now has a vending machine that sells just pearls.
Tristan was impressed with the fresh paint at Back Bay today:
Looks like Keolis did some enspiffening at #BackBay station! Nice change.
Ed. question: How long will the paint remain white in a station that fills with diesel fumes whenever a commuter-rail train pulls in?
