Among other things, she reports very few hipsters actually contributed to the project, so there.

The Santander Bank branch in the Prudential center was held up around 1:30 p.m. by a gun-wielding man in a surgical mask who apparently tried to make his getaway in a car across Huntington on St. Botolph. However, police on patrol stopped him before he could floor it and he was put into cuffs; a gun recovered from the car's passenger seat.

The Globe reports the owner of the John Hancock building is proposing a deal with the state to upgrade the train and bus station in exchange for development rights atop the station - and that part of the upgrades would include turning part of the station into a mall.

Beehive hairdo in Boston Pride parade

Aside from a brief and not very heavy spot of rain, it was a perfect day for the annual Pride parade from Copley Square to City Hall Plaza.

We stationed ourselves on Charles Street. By the time it was all over, the kidlet had built up quite the collection of beads.

Truck on Storrow Drive

Tommy Von was among the motorists who had to just sit there as State Police cleared a path for a truck driver to slowly back his stupid truck off the road shortly after 10 a.m. But on the bright side, at least the guy didn't splatter the contents of his truck all over the road by slamming into a bridge or something.

Around 7 p.m. came word that somebody had squealed to the cops and an officer was duly assigned to determine whether there was a pink pig with black spots roaming the Public Garden.

Mission Hill's Bobby the Pig? After all, he's been known to enjoy snuffling through the Public Garden.

But maybe not. Audrey alerted us to Back Bay's own Frank the Pig (Frank being short for Francis, as in, you know, that English guy), whose owner, Hayley, likes taking him out for constitutionals around the neighborhood

Photo from last week's robbery.

The Eastern Bank branch at 155 Dartmouth St. was held up around 2:50 p.m. by a white man in a gray hoodie, a ball cap and sunglasses. Police suspect it's the same guy who robbed the branch last week because he has very big ears.

As he did last week, the robber presented a note, then grabbed it back when he got money. He did not show a weapon.

Hammock by the Charles River

JGD spotted an occupied hammock by the Charles late yesterday afternoon.

It might have been a remnant from a more organized hammock hang.

I have a wallet and could only find the address. I would rather not put much money or effort into it.

Found in the Common rummaged through and placed on top of a trash can. Against my better judgment I picked it up. Tried to give it to a busy bpd bike officer who suggested I call it in (told me to call 911 at first, lol). After 30min of waiting for a cruiser I gave up. Unfortunately still with possession of the wallet. Any reasonable suggestions?
