Central Square crush on the MBTA Red Line

Bill Palin shows us the scene at Central Square around 9:30 a.m., as passengers wonder if they'll ever get to their destinations due to a train that went to its final destination at Harvard Square.

Coupled with a dead trolley on the Green Line, the Orange Line problems and inexplicably overpacked Blue Line trains, it was a rare superfecta on the T this morning.

Cambridge seeks bank skimmers

Skimmers sought. See it larger.

Cambridge Police are looking for a group they say installed "skimmers" on ATMs in Central Square to capture customer bank information.

Police say the skimmers were in operation between November and January - and that the group "extracted an undisclosed amount of cash from the compromised accounts in New York City" two weeks ago.

Police have released photos of the men suspected of installing the devices, which collect data from their bank cards to be imprinted on blank cards.

Police say they've stepped up surveillance of local ATMs.

Wanted for Central Square robbery

Cambridge Police report they are looking for help in finding a man who held up the Central Square 7-Eleven on April 18, 2013, shortly before MIT police officer Sean Collier was shot to death.

In the initial confusion following Collier's death and the car chase that ended in a shootout in Watertown, police at first thought the bearded man who held up the convenience store might be one of the Tsarnaevs.
