Got word that the hawk was caught and moved outside.

Michele Connors watched an adult and child walk across the Charles this afternoon, reports they were met on the shore by police officers, who escorted them away.
Meanwhile, Greg Hum reports the water's just fine for biking on. He took this photo from his helmetcam near the BU Bridge this afternoon:
Cambridge Day summarizes what it knows about a wine bar that never opened and the local real-estate agent who now faces criminal charges of witness intimidation, forgery and, yes, uttering, for filing a petition against the bar on which he allegedly forged all the signatures.
The Cambridge DPW is putting parking-space hoarders on notice: Crews will begin removing their space savers starting Monday.
That's just like in Boston, except, unlike across the river, Cambridge doesn't condone space savers at all:
Marty's minions will have a bit less to pick up in Brighton next week, thanks to a vigilante who's already busy removing space savers - and leaving behind notes explaining the situation - as Kricket Feeney shows us.
Somebody is also leaving notes on cars in Cambridge, Cyn Donnelly reports. Of course, being Cantabrigian, the vigilante had to explain in excruciating detail just what sort of villainous monsters people who lower themselves to saving spaces are, in the sort of manifesto that makes you wonder how he even managed to finish composing the note before smashing his keyboard to smithereens with his righteous, Cambridgey fists of fury.

Curt Nickisch spotted this note on a van in Cambridge today. You know, if only the note writer had used a smaller font, he could have included the rest of his feelings:
And I don't like nobody touchin' MY STUFF. Just keep your meathooks off. If I catch any of you guys in my stuff, I'll kill you.
A Belmont man convicted of his second OUI offense appealed, arguing his arrest was illegal because a trooper only showed up at his home based on the word of an anonymous 911 caller and that's just not good enough to warrant a potential arrest.
Around 6:30 p.m., snow slid off the roof of Simoni Rink at the Gore Street Park, hitting four people and burying one. WCVB reports two people were taken to the hospital.
Stephen Bronstein give's us a drone's eye view of Harvard Square (also see Harvard Yard from the air).
