The Boston Fire Department reports roughly 50 gallons of oil spilled onto the driveway at the Aamco transmission shop at 125 Cambridge St. in Charlestown around 9 a.m. while being pumped into a reclamation truck after it was full up.
Through liberal use of absorbent material, the BFD hazmat team contained the spill - and will remain on scene until it is fully cleaned up and removed.
