Boston Restaurant Talk reports the owners of Pier 6 in Charlestown and ReelHouse in East Boston and Quincy's Marina Bay are putting the three into "winter break" on Nov. 1.

Boston Police report the death of David Martinez, 28, of Roxbury, who was sitting in a car on Decatur Street in the Bunker Hill development when he and Wildeny Tejeda-Mejia of Lynn were shot last Thursday night.

Tejeda-Mejia was pronounced dead at the scene. Martinez was taken to a local hospital, where he later died, police say.

Victim identified as Wildeny Tejeda-Mejia, 24, of Lynn.

Boston Police report two men sitting in a car were shot outside 74 Decatur St. in the Bunker Hill housing complex shortly before 7:30 p.m. Read more.

The National Park Service lit up the Bunker Hill Monument in purple and gold last night to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment.

New England Development says it wants to build a 240-unit residential building on an undeveloped bit of its Bunker Hill Mall, along Rutherford Avenue and bordered by Austin and West School streets. Read more.

The Charlestown Patriot-Bridge reported yesterday that somebody stole the flower boxes from in front of St. Mary Church on Warren Street - but that a local resident and a former resident who now runs a florist shop in Stoneham teamed up to replace the boxes and flowers. But, the paper reports today, the flowers were once again stolen sometime between last night and this morning.
