A homeless man is being held without bail pending a "dangerousness" hearing after he was arrested - wearing what appeared to be blood-stained clothes - on a charge that he repeatedly stabbed another man at a Washington Street ATM early Friday, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. A man panhandling near Lincoln Street and the basketball court at the I-93 ramp in Chinatown was stabbed in a fight around 7:45 p.m. on Friday, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Read more.

CORRECTION: The candidates will have two debates after all - they agreed to a second one on Oct. 11.

After both sides agreed not to scab out at a WBZ debate, we're left with just a single mayoral debate, at WGBH's studios on the 10th (and now a second one the next night at Hibernian Hall in Roxbury). Tito asked Marty for at least four total debates. One of Marty's minions replied, basically: Yeah, right.

The Boston Licensing Board decides Thursday whether the young women staffing Crave Mad for Chicken on Kneeland Street should have been more assertive in trying to get a bunch of obnoxious men from New York out when they refused to leave at closing time, and if so, what punishment to levy. The MBTA reports a dead train somewhere near Tufts Medical Center means "severe" delays towards Oak Grove (which, of course, will eventually mean problems towards Forest Hills, especially since Forest Hills is down to just one track). That means every single T line had a dead train this morning. Is there a prize for that?

David Bernstein writes that the interesting news in last night's results were not in the race for mayor - which surprised no one - but in the council races, which could mean two black women joining the council in January - possibly alongside incumbent minority councilors Ayanna Pressley and Michelle Wu (at large) and Andrea Campbell (Dorchester). Mayor Marty Walsh will face off against City Councilor Tito Jackson in the November elections, according to preliminary results from the city elections department. Jackson will his work cut out for him: Walsh is leading by a better than 2-1 margin. Read more.

Boston Police report arresting Kiewann Watson, 28, of Mattapan, on charges he shot two men at closing time on Sunday, killing one of them, Michael Miranda of Dorchester.

Watson was arrested today on Norfolk Avenue, police say.

Boston Police are seeking videos and photos from a "a large fight" that erupted at closing time outside the Cure Lounge, 246 Tremont St. around 2 a.m. on Sunday.

NBC Boston reports on the double shooting around 2:15 a.m. at 274 Tremont St. - a garage commonly used by people going to Theater District clubs, and one that has had its share of closing-time problems over the years, from murder to stabbings to attempted kidnappings to fatal falls.
