Another armed robbery on the Brookline/Boston line

Boston University Police have sent out an alert that somebody was robbed at gunpoint by three teens around 5:15 p.m. at St. Paul and Thatcher streets in Brookline - not far from where BU students were robbed at gunpoint last month.

The suspects are described as black and between the ages of 13 and 18. One had a gun. All wore sweatshirts, one white, one gray, one red, BU Police say.

Brookline Police report the victim, "a recent college graduate," was not physically harmed.

So this is what, the third such incident in the last few weeks? As I recall, same m.o., roughly the same time (still daylight!), and in roughly the same location.

C'mon guys - anyone for a stakeout?

BTW the perps are somewhere between 13 and 18 years old? How fricken ridiculous is that?

Sadly it's typical for many types of crime in the city. The young are robbers and petty thieves, the ones that survive transition in drug dealing and B&E/auto theft.

No, it's not ridiculous, some people aren't just use to seeing it happen in 'safe' neighborhoods. This is a common, everyday occurrence in other neighborhoods. Teens will call up pizza and Chinese delivery just to rob the deliverymen. They'll rob [and sometime kill] cab drivers.
