Shooting in Egleston Square

AlertNewEngland report somebody was shot, possibly repeatedly, at Columbus and Weld avenues around 4:50 p.m. The suspect fled toward Washington Street. The homicide unit was summoned.

Jesus. I drive through that intersection on my way home every day. By my count, I must have been 3 or 4 minutes ahead of the shooting last night.

Adam, any word on the victim's condition? AlertNewEngland has gone quiet on it, and the Globe story is bare-bones.

Wouldn't worry too much I walk through that area pretty much every day and have never had a problem. It's probably just one of those things.
