Nobody remembers the guy who gave the first address at Gettysburg

But he was a Dot rat. The Dorchester Reporter introduces us to Edward Everett (yes, the guy the pear square is named for), who spoke for two hours at Gettysburg before Abe Lincoln got up to give that short address.

Lived in the Town as an adult.
Was president of Harvard, too, along the way, so he may have lived in the People's Republic as well.
He is buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery
in Cambridge, MA. I'd recommend visiting his monument there.
