Revere man charged with bloody murder of Winthrop man

Peter DeConnick, 46, will be arraigned Monday on charges of murder for the death of Ronald Russo, 50, whose body was found in a blood-soaked Revere Beach Parkway mobile home last night, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Authorities were called to that scene by a civilian at about 8:30 last night an investigators believe the suspect stabbed the victim in the course of an altercation. Deconinck was detained in the area of Beachmont station a short time after the response with blood on his clothing and a laceration to his hand.

used every subterfuge in the book to get across to it's readers that the folks living in the trailer park are 'white trash' without actually using that odious phrase. They're much more respectful when reporting on non-white crime scenes and victims.

Rolling cigarettes at his kitchen table *sigh*

We're talking about a newspaper that just yesterday reported on the "new" phenomenon (i.e., new to the Globe, Boston Magazine reported on it last fall) of salons that only wash and blow-dry women's hair and reported that this limited service is "only $35," so I'm sure the idea that people live in trailer homes is very exotic to them.

I'm shocked I've known Ronnie & his family for a long time at least 20yrs since i was 17. We were tenants of him & his family. He used to call me "tea cups". He was a good guy & funny n harmless at most he wud tell u off not violent guy I'm sure the skum who killed him didn't have good enuff reason. Drugs , $$$, ir a girl are NEVER reason to take a life. Ronnie & all his brothers were there when my little sister died especially RONNIE. I hope his dad brothers and sister can find strength n have faith that God n justice will see them all through. Its strange , haven't seen him in few years yet my friend & I were talking about him just this past week & this funny silly thing he use to say ALL THE TIME. . "ITS NICE" IVE MISSED THAT & I KNOW I WILL. ..... IM SORRY THIS HAPPENED TO HIM & HIS FAMILY. . RIP RONNIE

it's pretty fucking scary. I lived a half a mile away from it for 16 years and only went in there once. All kinds of crazy live in that park!

And the new police station is a stones throw from that trailer park, I assume it was a quick response time. I live on the hill in Beachmont and never walk anywhere past Suffolk Downs, so I can't speak as to the conditions of the park, but the victim was known in the Beachmont area, heard a few people talking about him at Dunks next to the station this AM.

Neither Google nor Google Maps is helping me out here. I've walked and biked the entire length of that beach many times without noticing it.

I *think* the trailer park in question is the one where Winthrop Ave meets 1A. That's the only one I know in that area.

It hasn't been marked since I was a kid in Beachmont. it's one small street off of Winthrop Ave right after the the 1A overpass and about a quarter mile from the police station. I think it's called Pratt Court on the map.

It's not on the beach, it's off of the Revere Beach Parkway which starts at the Beachmont end of Revere Beach and runs by Suffolk Downs into Chelsea and Everett.

I was shocked and stunned to hear of RoNs brutal death. I have not seen him or his family since 2003, but knew them well. As a matter of fact, ron and i lived together in Winthrop for a couple of years. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Grace
