Ah, sloppy web editing...

http://mbta.com/rider_tools/transit_updates/?ttype=subway&route=Red+Line

"beginning Fri Nov 8 at approx. 9pm thru end of service Sun Nov 10"

And then immediately below that:

"9:00 PM Fri 11/8/13 until end of day Fri 11/8/13"

How long does this diversion last again?

I can think of no possible drawbacks to this plan, said nobody ever.

the state managed to replace 14 bridges this way a couple of years ago, with all the work being done on weekends only.

This is how they did the Fairmount Line bridges, too. I can't remember exactly which ones were replaced, but, i recall they went smoothly

I was driving by there this morning and the Boston Police were on scene with a truck that had its roof ripped off by the low bridge.
