Boston Police report charging some guy with attempted arson after he allegedly tried to make good on a threat to blow up the Mobil station at 85 Southampton St. by flicking a lighter at a gas pump.
After failing to ignite the gas station, police say, the man toddled down Southampton and onto Mass. Ave., where officers found him with a lighter in his pocket. In addition to charging him, police took him to a nearby hospital for observation, based on the way he was talking when found.

Good thing HQ is next door!
Good thing HQ is next door!
Good thing he apparently
Good thing he apparently watches a lot of Nicolas Cage movies and not a whole lot of Mythbusters.
Hooray for standards and regulations
Good thing that somebody thought about some pretty obvious hazards and risks and designed gas pumps and propane tanks to minimize them.
Apologies to Billy Joel and everybody else
He didn't start the fire
He's a crazy person
So he tried an arson
He didn't start the fire
No he didn't light it
Lighters won't ignite it
