At least two people bring loaded guns to Dorchester party; police step in before they can use them
Boston Police report officers monitoring a late-night party at 211 Geneva Ave. early this morning moved to break up a fight outside when they noticed one man "brandish a firearm, then conceal the weapon in the waistband of his pants."
After a struggle, the officers took possession of a loaded Walther .380 firearm from Dwayne Smith, 37, of Dorchester, police say, adding he now faces a variety of gun-related charges as well as three counts of assault and battery on a police officer for the 1:35 a.m. incident.
Police add that other as other officers moved into the building to break up the party, somebody tossed a loaded gun out of a second-story window.
Innocent, etc.
