Be vewwy, vewwy quiet - and get the hell out of Norwood

Norwood reminder about hunting ban

Norwood Police posted this to their Facebook page today.

Norwood Police are saying Sorry, Elmer: Hunting is not allowed in the quiet town.

Police felt compelled to alert hunters to the ban after finding a hunter's tree stand "unlawfully placed on Town of Norwood land." They left a letter behind warning the hunter to vewwy, vewwy quickly remove the stand or the town will do it for him.

Unilateral pacifism is appreciated! However, we will not accept less than unconditional surrender before ceasing our eternal struggle for liberation in any occupied territory.

Doesn't sound unreasonable at all.
Norwood Police Facebook page said the stand was on land close to the airport.
Police no doubt didn't want to risk the chance that a plane might be accidentally shot. After all, hunters have shot people who were in their own backyards, etc.
There are also golf courses near the airport, and thus, near the hunting stand as well. And busy Route 1 goes past both golf courses and airport. So not really some extremely rural location. Actually just the opposite. Perhaps the hunter could go to the trouble of finding a more isolated spot.

What if they were bow hunting?

What kind of ammo do you use when you're hunting for bows?
Maybe they're nature photographers.

In any case, if it is on town land, then the town can tell them to take it down.

I just wonder because our old landlord in Littleton had quite the treefort village going on the property for the purposes of paintball wars.
