It is not on his lower back just above the waist of his jeans.

AKA mounted above his trolley tunnel?

Laughing my ass off at this from seven years in the future...

Thanks Adam for the nod.

yes folks I really did this! really! This is actually my first tattoo ever!

What I find funny is that, in the other post from June 2014, I predicted I would get one. And I did.

The comments on Twitter & Facebook have been priceless. I like my new tat a lot. It fits my personality and interests (for those of you who know me offline). It'll definitely be a conversation starter.

So does this mean you will have breakdowns in the summer and winter, be late for work, get up at 5am, stay out until 2:30 Friday & Saturday, rarely bathe, and alternate between unintelligible speech and screaming at the top of your lungs?

What's funny is, I'm the polar opposite of that :)

....but it does mean he's likely bankrupt.

I'm actually 100% debt free.. :)

Until the day you're buried.

Or ashes scattered, whatever.

I'm actually not in Boston... I'm in Provincetown on vacation, where I had the work done. I'm back Saturday.. it'll be an interesting ride Monday on my way to work with a t-shirt on.

We will see how many times I get stopped by T employees and passengers to take a look at it.

Of course now everyone here will be able to easily identify me now if they see me out LOL

Don't be a card ... make a pass! Even if it is just a token one ...

subcutaneous rfid

I was thinking about that.. but its on my left arm, and the gate strike is on the right. It would be hard to 'wave my arm' to get the gate to open.

Regardless I may get one of those rings anyways...

If anybody can confirm that this RFID tag can emulate a Charlie Card, this is clearly your next body mod!

Probably not since the ring is essentially a plastic charlie card that has been soaked in acetone to remove the plastic and just leave the coil. Then its 'fitted' to a ring.

(Well this is how it was done originally when they were first made.. I don't know how Ward Maps does them now.. can anyone confirm this?)

Awesome--I love it. Well done!

Years ago, I took the 23 bus to work every day. My regular driver had a T tattoo about the diameter of a beer can on his forearm.

I know I am not the only one with this tattoo.. T Police a few months ago had a picture of someone else with one. (they thought it was cool). Its actually where I got my original idea from to do this (except, I had predicted it long before I saw that in a post from last year)

... until one day it rains and you have to tell your friends you can't leave Kenmore Square for two hours.

Congrats on your 1st tattoo--looks great! And you know it'll always be there for you even when the real "T" doesn't show up ;)

Though contingency planning wouldn't be in keeping with the T.

Question 2: Does that mark the arm used for tossing, because the T stands for tossers?

up

but someone on facebook said "the T is for TOP" :)

How'd they get the lines so perfect?

up
Voting closed 0

It was a stencil transfer. I had them download the vector file from Wikipedia and he did the stencil transfer. The artist had talent who did this because apparently straight lines and circles are very hard to do and he did a fine job. It needs a small touch up but was told to just come back (i'll be back around labor day) and they'll touch it up once it heals.

Does this make you a trainy?

And I love how supportive you are of Dr. Scott and T employees.

That's certainly unique.
