The Globe reports the man told police he had no choice but to sell crack - his job working with at-risk kids didn't pay enough to let him keep his Lexus.

Last night the president proposed a huge gas tax increase, no wonder he needed a second job to support his lexus lifestyle.

I can't wait to see how well MA protects him. Classic!

I thought "Street Worker" was someone who gave blowies for cash. Apparently in Boston it's a thing, with IDs and uniforms.

You are thinking of "street walker". Though I can see confusing "worker" and "walker" if the speaker has a Boston accent.

because as anybody that pays attention here knows, a lot of commenters absolutely can't stand people that drive nice cars,

but lol if you read the article:

"Controversy followed the StreetSafe program, which often hired workers with criminal records. Several were fired for reasons that included passing counterfeit bills, allegedly assaulting an officer and hanging out in areas known for drug dealing."

that being said, i don't like the way this country treats those with prior convictions generally, but i'm not sure that "fighting fire with fire" seems to be working (because they keep getting..fired..)
