What is the boat thing floating in the Fens?

There is a cool "kon tiki" looking thing floating in the Fens Lagoon. Any idea what it is? Can't find any reference in the normal media.

More specifically, it's South of Hy-Brasil, by Caoimhghin Ó Fraithile, one of two parts of Tír na nÓg:

Hy-Brasil is a mythical land, located off of Ireland’s West Coast, that legend says only becomes visible once every seven years, and is the home of a mysterious advanced civilization. It is sited in the lagoon behind the Museum of Fine Arts. In conjunction with this outdoor public art work, in the Norman B. Leventhal Map Center at the Boston Public Library has several of Caoimhghin’s sketch books and drawings on display to the end of October along side maps from their collection that include the depiction of this mythical island.

John Henry's "normal media" outlet had an article yesterday entitled: "What’s that strange object floating in the Fens?" http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2016/08/16/what-that-strange-object-flo...

And "normal media" are both funny oxymorons.

All that creative energy and hunger for social justice should be used to create functional art for the homeless. Example: a sea of tiny shelters for the homeless on the desert which is City Hall Plaza. Larger ones for families.

Where exactly did you hear that this work this art was some sort of "social justice" statement?
