Wacky track at JFK/UMass turns Red Line commute into morass

Just in time for the evening rush hour, the T reports "moderate" delays towards Alewife on the Braintree side due to some sort of track problem at JFK/UMass.

This crap started last night.
This crap started last night. I was on an Alewife-bound train on the Braintree branch last night ~7pm and they kept "standing by" without any explanation at every station before JFK/UMass.
