In case you still have some room on your protest calendar

Some people who deny transgender people exist have painted a coach bus bright orange and painted trans-denial slogans on it and are planning to hit Boston in their cavalcade of harrumphishness next week, allegedly on the 27th and 28th. No specific place or time announced yet, though.

Boys are boys and girls are girls.

Some of us are just born with the wrong plumbing attached.

Now we have the technology to fix it. That's not changing their sex. It's corrective surgery they can choose. That's the ULTIMATE free speech in my opinion.

Some people aren't boys or girls, because they were born differently.

They get ignored in all the hoopla, but they too suffer from the stupidities of bigotry, denial, and ignorance when the bigots get their hate on.

An entire bus full of people who appear to have no idea that internet pornography exists.

Do these people not have jobs?

Do they not have better things to do with their lives?

While I think this message is hideous, and I too don't get why people spend time trying to deny people rights, the "don't you have a job?" argument really isn't progressive. People work different shifts, have work that can be done any time of day, are receiving disability payments, are the homemaker in a one-income family, etc. I would hate to see someone making these comments to people spending unpaid time and energy on worthy causes, so let's not make these comments to these bigoted assholes either.

They get paid by delusional wealthy people to try to police the lives of others.

Whenever I hear someone trumpeting Free Speech, I'm pretty sure their aim is to out-shout all the people who disagree with them.

Instead of protesting the pro LGBTQ movement should just all pick a color to wear that is not Orange to show solidarity. Pink seems kind of obvious , maybe something like green since it is so different from orange on the scale. Protests with signs and yelling is what they want. We need to consider the impact this will have on transgender people the most and that is showing them that so many of us are there with them...

After painting slogans on their bus attacking people they don't like by saying they don't exist, they end with "Respect all"?

If they pull a Westboro Baptist and take this bus to some sort of transgender rights parade or event, then I'd counter-protest to make sure that they didn't get to control the noise level.

But if they're just going to park it somewhere on Beacon Hill and harass people passing by, then nobody should even know they exist and if you have to go by, then it should be to laugh at them for being so immature (probably even intentionally reticent) about the psychological and biological facts of the matter.

When Westboro Baptist shows up at random events or locations, ridicule works best. When they show up at something like a soldier's funeral, then counter-protesting to reduce their influence on the proceedings works better. Same applies to this hate bus.

If they park their bus in Boston they should be ticketed and towed like the rest of us.

Interesting that 2 of the 3 organizations supposedly sponsoring this are allegedly based outside the U.S., though the International Organization For The Family was founded by a U.S. anti-LGBT "activist".

I think I'll buy an rv and orbit the country writing off everything I do as "outreach". Declare myself a church, even!

Perhaps the driver's GPS will route them into a low bridge on Storrow Drive. Now that would be interesting karma.

On the down low on Storrow. Heh.

If they ask for directions to anywhere, we will know where to send them.

When it comes to town here, can we blast the Crazy Bus song (from the Arthur the Aardvark Series) at it?

I'd also be tempted to get vinyl decals that make it look like these xx and xy kids are crushing x-, xxx, xxy, xyy, and people living with androgen insensitivity syndrome below their fake and unnatural binary feet.

Boston Magazine reports the bus'll be tooling around downtown both days. Just like for some garish giant orange thing (that has wheels, that is).

Fill every meter and every tourist bus parking spot. I bet they don't have any kind of permits pulled and they will basically be looking for cheap/easy places to park where buses are allowed.

What's the fine for parking a car in a bus space? Can we GoFundMe the fines for whomever prevents them from finding parking?
