Police: Man with gun chased after somebody he claimed owed him money in Roslindale

Boston Police report arresting a Roslindale man they say used a gun to threaten and chase another man over an alleged unpaid debt yesterday evening.

Police say Noe Ramirez, 38, of Roslindale, confronted his alleged debtor in the area of Mt. Hope Street and American Legion Highway around 8 p.m. and that when an argument failed to resolve the issue, pulled out a gun and the chase was on, down Mt. Hope Street all the way to Hyde Park Avenue, where police caught up with the victim:

The victim then suddenly pointed across the street where the suspect was observed walking towards the rear of 443 Hyde Park Avenue. Officers ran to the rear of the address with their weapons drawn at which time they located the suspect getting out of a parked motor vehicle and quickly placed him in custody without incident.

A search of the car - with the permission of its owner, who was not Ramirez, yielded a loaded .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver, police say. Ramirez was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, police say.

Innocent, etc.
