Transformer goes kaboom in Cambridge building

Cambridge firefighters rushed to 500 Technology Sq. off Main Street shortly after 8:30 a.m. after a third-floor transformer exploded. Smoke, but no fire; a technician was requested to deal with the issue as firefighters looked to turn off power to the building.
