Machine customer who didn't want to leave chomps bouncer's finger

Two inebriates being escorted out of Machine, 1254 Boylston St., swiped $10 from the bar, tried to punch bar workers and managed to send a bouncer to the hospital for treatment of a human bite, police and bar workers said today.

According to testimony by police officers and bar workers at a Boston Licensing Board hearing - including the bouncer who ended his shift with less skin than he started - a man and a woman were denied service during a Dec. 19 drag show for being already intoxicated. Bouncers told them they'd have to leave and were escorting them outside when the money swiping and punch throwing started, they said. The woman bit down on the left middle finger of one of the bouncers.

Police say they arrived to find the pair outside, face to face, screaming at each other, the man shirtless and with blood dripping from fresh scratches on his face. An officer testified the two refused to calm down and refused to tell police what had happened, but demanded that police do their job and repeatedly threatened to sue Machine.

After 30 minutes or so of trying to calm the pair down, police arrested the man on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

The board decides Thursday what action, if any, to take on the incident.

The police only arrested the man and not the woman who bit the bouncer?

Maybe they didn't know? The bouncer reported he didn't go to the hospital until around 5 a.m.
